Adopt Me LinkPicture of Addie

Meet Addie!

She is about 10 years old and a bit overweight at 65 pounds -she's a traditionally built basset gal. Her owner passed away suddenly leaving behind five bassets, Addie is one of the two HHBR took in. She is a sweet basset gal and loves being with people. She sees herself as "Queen" and we call her "Alpha." She is the basset-in-charge at her foster home.
When she came into HHBR she had serious dental issues that needed to be treated immediately. One of her teeth fell out into the vet's hand while examining her. She lost 6 teeth during her dental due to infection which destroyed the jaw bone in that part of her mouth and spread to her nasal cavity making a small hole that had to be cleaned out and stitched up. Her vet bill was huge and Debbie's Dawgs helped out with a fundraiser. She is heartworm negative and up-to-date on all her vaccinations. she is on two kinds of medications for her dry eye condition for the rest if her life. Meds will run around $40 a month.
Addie has recovered from her dental issues and is ready for her new forever home.

Adopt Me LinkPicture of Waylon

Say hello to Waylon!

Private Adoption

While not an HHBR basset, he is still a basset in need.

Mr. Waylon is a 10 year old Basset Hound pulled from a rural shelter. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccines.

He is house trained. He is great with kids of all ages and dogs of all sizes. We do not know about cats. Although he is older he has not lost the pep in his step and enjoys walks around the neighborhood. He also loves to chase tennis balls around the yard. The rest of his day is spent lounging around and chewing on his antlers while laying on his bed. He is in very good health and is looking for a forever home. He really enjoys the company of other canine friends and we would love if he could go to a home where he will not be the only dog.

If you are interested in adopting him, fill out our application and we will forward to his foster and they will reply to you.
