Harley's story is a sad one. He was rescued by HHBR in 2004 as a pup and was adopted. But, in 2009 he was returned as his family couldn't keep him anymore. He was adopted in August of 2009; but he was recently returned due to lifestyle change for his family.
Harley is about 5 years old, weighs 57 lbs., neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. He's not all basset, but don't hold that against him. He's a bit "taller" than a typical basset. We call them field bassets -- you know tall enough to see over the weeds in the field.
Harley is a little timid at first, he's had a lot of changes in his life and he's not quite sure whats going on. The vet says he's a good dog, just not your typical outgoing basset. He likes the company of other dogs and wants to play and interact with them. He likes dogs treats and loves car rides.
If you're looking for a dog that needs you and have time for him, Harley would be a good choice for you.
